"It sticks better if different senses are addressed during learning!"
Why sit at home and learn German if you can learn the language during a walk in a more motivating way? I have developed language walks where you learn German during a stroll. The city thus becomes the coursebook. The advantage is that you connect a certain place with a learning moment. You will come into contact with new vocabulary and grammar in a meaningful environment. You see what is being talked about. That way the new knowledge will stick better. And this is what we all want, isn't it?

German in the city
Language is everywhere. So we are going to make good use of that. On the one hand, there are a lot of texts in the streetscape that provide food for conversation. On the other hand, buildings, shops, monuments... give rise to speaking. During this city language walk you will not only improve your knowledge of German in a pleasant way. You will also learn more about the city and you will get fun facts about the German language.
language level: A2 to B2
duration of walk: 2 hours
location: Alkmaar and Vienna
German in the museum
The classroom is exchanged for a museum. Paintings and artefacts will refresh your knowledge of German. The emphasis in these lessons is on free speech and vocabulary. You describe what you see and what thoughts the works of art evoke in you. During this "lesson to go" you will train your improvisation skills and how you can keep on talking even though you lack vocabulary.
language level: B1 to C2
